micro green seeds and micro herb seeds uk

Microgreens are bursting with flavour and packed with goodness. They are so easy to grow and ready in as little as 7 days. Plus, as they are generally harvested at the first true leaves stage, there is no time for pesky pests or diseases to get a hold.  Grow indoors, all year round, for a great supply of attractive, flavoursome and healthy garnishes. Sprinkle generously to enhance special suppers, salads, soups and sandwiches.

Sowing your microleaf seeds...

Fill a shallow tray or dish with compost and sow seeds fairly thickly and as evenly as possible. We once heard a great suggestion for guaging the right quantity is to imagine a seeded burger roll!  Cover lightly with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite and mist or water with a rose attachment on your watering can, little and often. Direct sun is not essential. Microgreens are normally harvested just after the first pair of true leaves appear. Depending on the seed type and the time of year, this could be anything from 7 days to 4 weeks. Simply snip with kitchen scissors and use immediately.
